TONE-SHINE Electric Launches a New-Generation 5G High-Power Wireless Communication Module for Drones

TONE-SHINE Electric officially unveiled its latest-generation 5G High-Power Wireless Communication Module In January 2025. Designed specifically for 5G drones and the module emphasizes high power, low loss, low latency, and strong anti-interference performance. When deployed for specialized applications and paired with appropriate drivers, it enables drone communication ranges of up to 5 km which is dozens of times greater than that of typical civilian drones. It is particularly well suited for military UAV platforms and has now become a new option for drone equipment manufacturers.

The module adopts a dedicated 5G frequency band and a high-power communication chipset and can be used with high-gain drone antennas to maintain stable transmission over long distances. Signal loss is reduced by more than 15% compared with conventional products. The module housing is made from Taiwan-manufactured composite resin materials and offering excellent heat resistance and electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection making it suitable for operation in harsh environments. Following testing and validation in collaboration with Taiwanese drone equipment manufacturers, the module entered mass production and was officially released in the first half of 2025.
