For strengthen R&D capabilities and talent development in Taiwan’s electronics manufacturing industry, TONE-SHINE Electric signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chinyi University of Technology in May 2022. This partnership focuses on three key areas: Low-power switching materials, Lead-free soldering technologies, and High-frequency antenna design.
During three years, the two parties will jointly establish R&D laboratories and open incubation centers to students for internships and capstone research projects, with guidance provided by TONE-SHINE’s senior engineers. Through this collaboration, TONE-SHINE aims to transform its years of Japanese manufacturing experience into practical teaching case studies, helping students gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire process from material selection to process control.
In addition, both parties plan to jointly apply for government-funded technology R&D programs to promote low-carbon manufacturing and the adoption of renewable energy in electronic component production lines, with the goal of building an internationally competitive green supply chain. This initiative not only demonstrates TONE-SHINE Electric’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, but also strengthens the technological foundation of Taiwan’s manufacturing industry.
